This is an interesting replay of Sowerby's superbly illustrated, "Sowerby's Book of Shells" but without the great color drawings. The Manual is little more than an expanded appendix but a few necessary points to use when grazing through. Glad I bought it, if only for the memory of the real science and toil that produced his "Book of Shells".
